The research heat of my country's medical titanium alloy industry is gradually heating up
Titanium as a biomedical metal material is a kind of bio-inert material, which is widely used in surgical implants and orthopedic devices in the field of orthopedics. At present, the commonly used medical metal materials are mainly three categories: cobalt-based alloys, stainless steel and titanium-based alloys. From the perspective of the number of patents, my country's medical titanium alloy material patent technology covers a wide range of fields. Among them, the number of patent applications for chemical metallurgy (Part C), human life necessity (Part A), and operation and transportation (Part B) are the majority, especially for medical titanium alloys. The number of patents in the research of material composition (C22C) and medical use (A61L) is the highest.
At present, the research interest in the field of medical titanium alloys in my country continues to rise, and the number of patent applications continues to increase. Data show that as of June 10, 2020, my country's medical titanium alloy-related patent applications reached 474.
And judging from the number of patents in various provinces and cities, many provinces and cities in my country have attached great importance to the technical development and application of the medical titanium alloy industry. Among them, Liaoning Province is the region with the largest number of medical titanium alloy patent applications, with 87; followed by Beijing, Jiangsu, Shaanxi and Hunan, with 77, 58, 57, and 42 applications.
From the perspective of patent validity, there are currently 117 patents, 217 invalid patents, and 366 valid patents for medical titanium alloy materials in my country. It can reflect the high quality of patents in my country's medical titanium alloy material industry.
